School Crossing Guards
The Piscataway Township Police Department is seeking candidates for the position of School Crossing Guard. Animal Control Officer (part-time)
Piscataway Township is seeking a part time Animal Control officer who must possess the following qualifications:
- High school graduate, trade school graduate or equivalent
- One year experience in animal control
- Certification as an animal control officer
- Certification as Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator
- A valid NJ driver’s license.
Responsibilities to include:
- Follow up on licensing of cats and dogs.
- Assist with annual rabies clinics.
- Enforcement of all local ordinances and state laws pertaining to animal control.
- Appear in court on animal matters and testify as an expert in legal proceedings when necessary.
- Investigation of animal bite and vicious dog incidents. Issue warnings, summonses, and quarantines as required.
- Assist residents with problems related to animal control.
- Issue summons for various animal violations (i.e.: dog running at large, feeding feral cats, failure to license animal, etc.)
- Coordinate with Edison shelter for TNR of residential properties.
Hours are flexible but may include occasional nights and weekends.

Meals on Wheels Driver (18 hours per week)
The Piscataway Department on Aging is seeking a part-time Meals on Wheels driver to work approximately 18 hours a week to drive senior citizens in a Township-provided passenger vehicle to their medical appointments in Piscataway and surrounding areas and at times assist in other areas of the Piscataway Senior Center. Must communicate with office staff via radio. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to report safety and operational concerns. Starting hourly wage is $14.31. Contact Ms. Amy S. Recycling Center/Mini-Dump staff (28 hours per week)
Staff positions are available for unskilled labor tasks at our Public Works Department’s (DPW) Recycling Center/Mini-Dump on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. rain or shine. Part-timers have the option to work Wednesday or Friday to fill out the 28 hours and will get the opportunity to work with other divisions on those days.
DPW provides all PPE except for safety-toe work boots. The position starts at $17.38/hour.
