Money Magazine Puts Piscataway in Top 100
September 16, 2019 – People across America are finding out this morning what local residents have long known: Piscataway is one of the best places to live in the United States.
Money Magazine has placed Piscataway Township on its prestigious 2019 Best Places to Live in America list ranking the central New Jersey community as #68 on its Top 100 list. To view the list, please click here: http://money.com/money/collection/best-places-to-live-2019/
“The Township Council and I are thrilled that Piscataway has achieved this national designation,” Mayor Brian C. Wahler said. “The quality of life we enjoy in our community has been awarded a prominent and influential seal of approval.”
With wise financial stewardship, Mayor Wahler and the Township Council have been able to provide two years of a 12.8 percent lower Township tax rate while building a $32 million Community Center with no residents’ tax monies and maintaining an “AA+ stable” bond rating with Standard & Poor’s.
The economic growth and stability of the Township is due in large part to the success of Mayor Wahler and the Township Council attracting many new companies to Piscataway, several of them with state-of-the-art logistics centers that are providing good paying jobs for hard working residents.
“Whether it is building the Piscataway Community Center, refurbishing parks or resurfacing roads, our community continues to move forward,” Mayor Wahler said.
