Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Governor Murphy signed S4081 in December which extended the utility shutoff grace period from December 31, 2021 to March 15, 2022. This prohibits local governments from shutting off water or electric service to residential customers or to accounts primarily servicing residential customers due to nonpayment of water, sewer or electric charges unless the disconnection is to prevent a risk to public health or safety. Please note that Piscataway Township does not have a policy of shutting off sewer service to residential customers but residents are advised to contact PSE&G and/or New Jersey American Water regarding overdue electric and water bills so as not to lose service.

Also, per Governor Murphy's Executive Order 246 effective through March 15, 2022, zero interest will be charged for residential sewer. Payment plans are available. Contact the Tax Collector for more information at (732) 562-2331.
